Abstract

Molecularity imprinted polymer (MIP) selected for quercetin (QC) was synthesized by the co-polymerization reaction between acrylamide (AA), 4–Vinyl piridine (4-VP) and ethylenglycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) with an initiator 1,1′-Azobis(cyclohexanecarbonitrile) (ACCN). The maximum absorbance of QC on MIP is 0.2544 mg/gMIP with the selectivity of 94.80 %, which is higher than that of the QC isomer Catechin (10.23 %). This procedure for QC analysis was implemented on vegetable samples, with sample preparation by MIP and sample analysis employing HPLC. Recovery yield was found to be 91.16 % to 94.50 % for vegetable samples. The method detection limit (LOD) and method quantitative limit (LOQ) were 0.56 ppm and 1.69 ppm, respectively. Vegetable samples were collected on the market which were rinsed through MIP and was analyzed by HPLC with UV detector, the results reflect the suitability of MIP in the selection of Quercetin.
