Abstract
Gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) method is validated for the determination of chlorpyrifos and carbosulfan in mustard. It is based on the QuEChERS dispersive solid phase extraction in sample preparation. Under the optimal operating conditions, the concentration of in mustard can be determined in the range from 0.01 mg/kg to 0.2 mg/kg for chlorpyrifos and from 0.05 mg/kg to 0.3 mg/kg for carbosulfan with the coefficient correlation (R2) of 0.999. The method detection limit (MDL) is 0.003 mg/kg for chlorpyrifos and is 0.013 mg/kg for carbosulfan. The accuracy and precision of the method obtained is also evaluated. The recovery is from 96-101% for chlorpyrifos and from 96-99% for carbosulfan. The repeatability at different concentrations are lower 4.60 and 3.44% for chlorpyrifos and carbosulfan, respectively. According to the reequipment from Viet Nam Heath Ministry and EU, all the obtained results advises the method available for determination of chlorpyrifos and carbosulfan in mustard, and can be applied in the food analytical chemistry.
