STUDY ON HUMAN INJURY IN SLEEPER COACHES ROLLOVER CRASHES

Abstract
The investigation based on the FMVSS 214 and ECE R66 safety standard. HYPERWORKS and MADYMO software were utilized to construct the studying model and human injury simulation analysis in sleeper coaches rollover crash. The simulation results indicated that high collision acceleration made the human injure own head, chest, abdomen seriously. The main reason is due to the passenger was not equipped safe belts or unsecured belt systems in hazardous areas. Based on the analysis results of injury mechanisms of passengers, the safe belts of sleeper coaches were improved. Improvement results proved that, the injury values of the passengers are ensured the requirements of FMVSS 214 safety standard.
