Abstract
Quality assurance in higher education has become a mandatory condition for maintaining study programs in Vietnam. According to the Ministry of Education and Training statistics, ten regional and international accreditation/assessment organizations have operated in Vietnam. In recent years, the trend of Vietnamese universities seeking recognition from more than one domestic and foreign accrediting organization has been increasing. Building a robust internal quality assurance system is one of the solutions for the sustainable quality of institutions. This article studies the internal quality assurance system of universities, analyzes the quality assurance criteria of accrediting organizations operating in Vietnam, and proposes solutions to build an internal quality assurance system at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City to meet the requirements of different sets of quality assurance criteria.
