Abstract

This study builds a framework for assessing the safety management on construction sites in Ho Chi Minh City. From previous studies and expert opinions, the study identified 16 factors affecting the safety management on construction sites. Based on the results of factor ranking and exploratory factor analysis, a framework for assessing the safety management has been completed, including 14 factors and 4 main groups of factors, namely (1) regulations and policies about the occupational safety, (2) knowledge and attitudes towards the occupational safety, (3) planning to implement the occupational safety, and (4) inspection and supervision of the occupational safety implementation on construction sites. This assessment framework hopes to help contractors to improve the safety management on construction sites.
