CHAOTIC VORTEX SEARCH ALGORITHM FOR GLOBAL NUMERICAL OPTIMIZATION

Abstract

In this paper, based on theoretical studies of the optimal search algorithm Vortex Search (VS), the theory and application of Chaos theory to the Metaheuristics. We propose to improve the VS algorithm by hybridization of the rule for generating the candidate solutions algorithm of VS with chaotic function by using the Bernoulli map. Simulation results on a set of 20 Benchmark validation algorithms show that the new algorithm has better results than the old algorithm on the evaluation criterias.
