STATUS QUO AND TREND OF ACADEMIC PROGRAM ACCREDITATION AT HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN VIETNAM

Abstract
Having academic programs accredited is not only considered as a legislative request but also one of strategic objectives of all higher education institutions to confirm their position to community. Until June 30, 2020, 307 academic programs have been accredited and certified being in accordance with the requirement of national and international standards. The study aims to show discriptively a partial status quo as well as accreditation trend of academic programs at Vietnam higher education institutions. Its result is meaningful as reference particularily to those higher education institutations who are planning to have program accreditation in the coming time.
