FACTORS AFFECTING THE STUDENTS’ DECISION TO RENT A HOSTEL IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Abstract
This study aims to help hostel business owners have a base for identifying the factors affecting students' decision to rent a hostel to have appropriate strategies to attract and satisfy the needs of students in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). The authors have collected 422 valid survey samples collected through direct and online survey of students in Ho Chi Minh City. The data were processed by SPSS software including descriptive statistics, reliability test of the scale, exploratory factor analysis and testing the model's hypotheses by multiple regression method. The analysis results show that there are 8 factors affecting students' decision to rent a hostel in Ho Chi Minh City, including: perceived price, location, facilities, service quality, security, and living environment, social relations, and promotions.
