FACTORS AFFECTING THE INTENTION TO CONTINUE STUDYING AT MASTER LEVEL OF ECONOMICS STUDENTS AT THE INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY OF HOCHIMINH CITY

Recently, the enrollments for master and PhD degree in the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh city tend to decrease. Therefore, identifying the cause, seeking solutions for increasing the student's intention to study the graduate level after undergraduate from University - an important source of graduate enrollments - is essential. Based on the survey of 270 3rd and 4th year students of the economic sector, the results of processing survey data on SPSS 20 software show that there are actually 4 factors affecting the intention of studying at the graduate level of the students of economic sector. These are: Subjective norms, Attitudes towards Graduate Studies, School's Reputation and Perceived Behavior Control. Accordingly, 4 managerial implications are drawn from the research results. These implications can be used to increase the intention and then the decision of studying graduate of economics students after graduating from Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.
