DESIGN A TRANSMISSION MECHANISM OF ASSISTANT DEVICE FOR STAIR-CLIMBING WHEELCHAIR

Abstract

As known, it is difficult for the disability and the elders to operate the wheelchair moving up and down stairs. Therefore, design and manufacture a transmission mechanism of the assistant device for stair-climbing wheelchair is necessary. In this paper, the work will present a method how to do this task. The transmission mechanism is designed to separate from the wheelchair, which is compact as well as easy to remove, only needing one person to support. e stress of the material. An experimental system is presented to determine the operability of the device.
