Vietnamese culture is the sum total of material and spiritual values created by the Vietnamese community, including ethnic groups, throughout the nation's history of nation building and defense. Since its inception, the Communist Party of Vietnam has always attached great importance to the role and power of culture. The resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party affirms that building and developing Vietnamese culture is of great significance for sustainable socio-economic development, political stability, and improving people's lives. Under the Party's leadership, particularly in the 37 years since Doi Moi, considerable progress has been made in building and developing Vietnamese culture.
