Abstract

The study clarifies some theoretical issues about critical thinking and some theoretical issues of Marxist - Leninist philosophy regarding the concept, role of critical thinking as well as the role of philosophy in improving critical thinking capacity for students, the necessity to improve students' critical thinking through teaching Marxist-Leninist philosophy. Research on the situation of improving critical thinking for students through teaching Marxist-Leninist philosophy at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City points out the achieved results as well as some limitations. On that basis, the study provides some orientations to develop critical thinking for students at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City in the current period.
