Main Article Content
Abstract
Lead content in water sample was enriched by TiO2/Fe3O4 nanocomposite and then determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy. The properties of TiO2/ Fe3O4 nanocomposite material were determined by SEM, EDX, XRD methods. The solid phase extraction conditions such as pH, material mass, adsorption time, and eluent concentration were investigated. The results showed that with using 150 mg of adsorbent in 60 minutes at pH 8 and the concentration of 2M HNO3 eluent, the adsorption efficiency reached 100% and the desorption efficiency reached 94.5% with the initial concentration of Pb2+ ion of 200 µg/L. Lead ions were determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy GF-AAS under optimal conditions in a calibration curve of 5.0÷40.0 µg/L (r2 = 0.9998) of Pb2+ solution with method detection limit and method quantification limit of 0.9 µg/L and 3.0 µg/L; the recovery efficiency of the method is about 92.1%. The method was used for the determination of lead ions in water samples in Ho Chi Minh area.
