Abstract
Outcomes-based education (OBE) is an educational principle proposed in the 1990s in America. This educational principle then attracted attention, research, and implementation in many countries around the world. Many studies have demonstrated the positive impact of OBE practice in higher education. In recent years, this principle has been studied and implemented by many universities in Vietnam at different levels. This article summarizes the results of a number of domestic and foreign OBE important studies, describes the OBE implementation process at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City in the past 5 years, and the lessons learned from that process.
